Ortak will organize its Introduction to Investigative Journalism Workshops in Istanbul this November, designed for journalists, early-career reporters, and media professionals who are working in — or aspire to work in — investigative journalism.
The workshops will be held in person in Istanbul on 1 November 2025 and 8 November 2025.
Participants will explore the core principles of investigative journalism, methods of collaborative reporting, the use of AI tools, and contemporary techniques such as video storytelling and data visualization through presentations and hands-on workshops led by experienced practitioners.

🔍 What Will Participants Gain?
This two-day workshop series aims to equip participants who want to step into investigative journalism with:
Practical foundations of the field
Effective use of digital tools in news production
Skills in visual storytelling and data-driven reporting
At the end of the workshops, participants will be eligible to apply for Ortak’s mentorship programs and may have the opportunity to take part in upcoming special investigative projects.
